This is even as Governor Dapo Abiodun said he was disturbed by the baseless allegation against him. The council chairmen visited the governor on Tuesday night with Mr Wale Adedayo, the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, who made the allegation, to tender an unreserved apology, as they accepted that mistakes had been made.   Speaking at the meeting in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, attended by 18 out of the 20 chairmen, Governor Abiodun expressed surprise at the allegation, noting that rather than starving the local governments, he has made several interventions on their behalf to lessen their burden. The Supervisory Councilors in Ijebu East Local Government Council of Ogun State have disassociated themselves  from the false allegations made by the Council Chairman, Mr. Wale Chairman, Mr. Wale Adedayo. In a statement issued on Wednesday and jointly signed by Supervisor for Community Development, Hon Folake Adetayo, Supervisor for Agriculture, Hon. Kunle Adesanya, Supervisor for Finance, Hon Jesse Osibanjo and Supervisor for Water and Environment Services, Hon. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, has charged officers and men of the FCT command to work assiduously in ensuring the protection of all critical infrastructure in the territory. Abiodun approves appointment of Chief Press Secretary

  Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of Mr. Lekan Adeniran as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS). The appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi on Tuesday. According to Mr. Talabi, the appointment takes immediate effect. Adeniran, a graduate of Mass Communication has over three decades experience as a journalist. He started his journalism career at The Guardian in 1992, where he covered the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Lagos State House of Assembly and Governor's Office, Alausa, Ikeja. He left The Guardian in 2001 to join the newly established Daily Independent. The new CPS also worked with the Compass, Next and National Mirror newspapers. Before the appointment, he was the editor of WesternPost, an online newspaper publication.

The signed agreement is intended to make the carrier gain strong foothold on the Jos-Abuja route.
