Amuwo-Odofin Legislative Council Receives 2022 Budget Proposal





The Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh's led adminstration presented to the legislative council its proposed year 2022 budget christened "Budget of Sustainability"


The event which took place at the legislative chambers also had in attendance Apex leaders of the party, CDC Chairman and its exco, religious leaders and members of the general public.


In his presentation speech, the Council Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government revealed the performance of the outgone year's Budget  to be 91.2%.


Also in his speech he said the budget proposal for 2022 is 3,754,512,567.88 with capital project taking the Lion share of 1,458,253,581.57.



The Mayor in his speech solicited for cooperation by all stakeholders towards the success of the proposed budget. "To our community leaders, it is important I say here that we need your cooperation to make this proposal a success. We need you to go back to our people and admonish them on their civic responsibilities of payment of taxies and levies promptly. Finally, I wish to appeal to our dear Honourable members of the legislative arm to give a speedy consideration to the 2022 draft budget estimates so that its implementation can commence earnestly." The Council Chairman said.


In response to his submissions, the legislative council lead by Hon. Kiki Emmanuel promised speedy attention for the budget proposal.


The highpoint of  the event was the motions moved by the majority leader to immortalize the name of the Council Chairman by naming a street in the Local Government after him. Also the council with support from the Apex Leadership of the party bestowed upon the Council Chairman a recognition award as the GRAND COMMANDER of Amuwo-Odofin LGA.

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager.
