Lagos NURTW Says No To Violent Protest

 



The NURTW Lagos state chapter Say NO to any form of protest that will lead to destruction of lives and property in Lagos State . 


Sadly the tone of the faceless promoters of the said protest and their end goal is to change government, what they couldn’t do through the ballot box they intend to do through a protest laced with bitter politics.


The rot of many years can not be fixed in one year.



We appeal to peace loving Nigerians to be patient with the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who means well for the people of Nigeria from the various steps he has taken in recent times. 


Demands of some of the agitators are already been done. He has increased Minimum wage to Seventy Thousand Naira (70, 000), Introduced CNG Buses that will drastically reduce the cost of transportation,NURTW members are direct beneficiaries of this intervention.Truck loads of food items have been distributed to all the states . 



Direct palliative payment are being paid to the poorest of the poor in the society.

student loan has been introduced to help the children of the poor in the society to complete their higher education. 



The president has given approval for the massive importation of food items to reduce the cost of food.  Many more too numerous to mention.

We are still pained by the destruction of lives and property especially BRT buses belonging to lagos state government and private operators like NURTW at Oyingbo during the end sars protest of 2020. 


Lagos state has given us a means of livelihood through the operation of transport services in the state.it is income from our transport services we have sent our children to school and made a decent living.Hence, we will protect all government and Public properties in Lagos.


Lagos state is our heritage and we will protect it with our lives.Anyone who wishes for the destruction of Lagos state, will be vehemently resisted by the good people of Lagos State .And will regret ever nursing such a plan. 



We say NO to Destruction of Lives and properties in Lagos.....



We stand with Bola Ahmed Tinubu in all the local governments and LCDA’s in Lagos.......

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager. He holds a Masters Degree in Transportation Planning and Management from University of Lagos and has attended several capacity-building programmes on inter-modal traffic management systems locally and internationally.
