Dada Aigbe remanded in Kirikiri Prison Over contempt of court

  The Chairman of Confidence Cargo, Freight Forwarder, Mr Dada Aigbe  has been remanded in Kirikiri Prison for disobeying court order and for interfering in a land matter over which he is not a party. The land matter is between HRM, Oba Shakirudeen Adeshina Kuti, the Complainants and Osolo of Isolo, HRM, Oba Agbabiaka Kabiru Orisedeko Kuti and the Baale of Mafoluku, Ajao Estate; Chief Hussam Raheem Shekoni Elemo, the Defendants and is before Justice M.A Savage of a Lagos High Court, Lands Division. The fact of the case as contained in the petition is that the complainant’s ancestral family land along Airport Road, Ewu Town, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos was invaded by Oludada Aigbe  and his thugs.  The case, investigated by FCID SWAT Annex, Lagos before it was transferred to FCID SWAT, Abuja through an endorsed petition letter dated October 27, 2023 for further investigation. Ekiti Insecurity: Group gives marching order to herders to leave community

Following unbridled grazing activities leading to wanton destruction of farmland, kidnap and sundry nefarious perpetrations, the Itapaji Progressives Union (IPU) has issued notice to Fulani herders operating in and around the town to vacate. Rising from an emergency meeting with the traditional council of the town, led by the Olu of Itapaji, Oba AbdulKareem Adebanjo, and the deputy, High Chief Yisa Olaoye (Oluketu of Itapaji Ekiti), it was resolved that all cattle dealers in the town should close the business,  to augment the ongoing moves by the Ekiti State government to enthrone security in the zone as well as boost agricultural yields. To this effect, all sons and daughters of the town doing cattle business in collaboration with the cattle rearers, have been mandated to wind up the business forthwith to ensure tranquility reign in the town. 'Dedicates Feat to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu" The Executive Secretary, Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi has emerged the winner of the prestigious “7 Wonder Women” Award.  The award ceremony, organized by Guardian Newspaper, took place on the 16th of March, 2024 at the Federal Palace Hotel. The keenly contested category for Inspiring Leadership in Public Service Sector had other prominent and outstanding female nominees who had distinguished themselves in leadership and public service across the country. Lagos Hotelier Petitions House of Reps Over Invasion of D&G Hotel, Residence, By NDLEA

The lawmaker representing Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency, Lagos State at the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo aka BAO,  on Tuesday presented a petition against the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), written by Compress Solicitor Advocate and Law Mediation Center on behalf of Mr Abayomi Moses Idowu, at the House. The petitioner, Idowu is a hotelier and Managing Director of D&G Motor Dealer Enterprises Limited and D&G Hotel, Event and Suites in Ijaiye Ojokoro, Lagos.  There has been alleged incessant unlawful invasion of the business of Mr Abayomi Moses Idowu by the NDLEA, led by ACN Adekunle Oduola, especially D&G Event and Suites in Ijaiye, Ojokoro, Lagos, in violation of the petitioner's constitutional rights.  Mr Abayomi's house was invaded by the NDLEA in 2022, 2023, and now, in 2024. Hotelier Drags NDLEA before National Human Rights Commission over Invasion, Destruction of his property

A Lagos-based hotelier, Mr. Ayobami Moses Idowu, has lodged a petition with the National Human Rights Commission, alleging unlawful invasion, property destruction, and the theft of his gold necklace worth fifty million naira by officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Idowu's legal representatives, Complete Solicitors and Advocates, based in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, submitted the petition titled "Unlawful Invasion of Mr. Ayobami Moses Idowu's Residence and Business Premises by NDLEA Officers," urging the commission to ensure justice for their client. The petition outlined Idowu's standing as a law-abiding Nigerian, employer, and community role model, emphasising his decade-long business operations managing D&G Motor Dealer Enterprises Limited and D&G Hotel, Event and Suites.  Despite his clean record, the petition highlighted repeated harassment by NDLEA officers, particularly under the leadership of ACN Adekunle Oduola, alleging coer...
