President Bola Tinubu has described the founder of Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, as a man of God whose contributions to nation-building could not be quantified. President Tinubu stated this on Monday at the 70th birthday Thanksgiving Service held at The Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos. The President, who was represented by the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Sen. George Akume said the celebrant has over the years worked towards the unity and progress of Nigeria and Nigerians at all times. According to the President, Pastor Bakare is an embodiment of integrity and a symbol of hope to the hopeless, who has dedicated his life to serving God and humanity. Lagos NURTW Chairman Donates N1 Million To Widow,As Council Empowers Families Of Deceased Members With #40 million

  Chairman of the Lagos State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle Adio, popularly known as Sego, displayed a rare gesture of humanity as he gifted the widow of a late executive member of the Council in Ikorodu, Comrade Wasiu Ogunbunmi, Mrs Olufunmilayo Ogunbunmi, N1 million to take care of her son and herself. This took place as the leadership of the  Council, on Thursday presented cheques of N1.5 million each to families of 25 deceased members of the union at an empowerment programme. The deceased had served the union diligently as executive members and trustees of various branches and zones in Lagos State before their demise. Mrs Ogunbunmi had complained that though the name of her husband was mentioned as a beneficiary of the gesture of the council, none of them was invited to receive the cheque for the family.
