  The administration of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government ably led by Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh upon  public advertorial for contractors interested in undertaking the construction of the proposed administrative block to tender interest, conducted a ceremonial public opening of the tender box before the General public. AMOSUN SUFFERING FROM POLITICAL AMNESIA, DESERVES PITY

Former IGP, Balogun for Burial on Saturday

The remains of former inspector general of police ,Mr Tafa Balogun will be interred in his home town ,Ila Orangun in Osun state..  The Ila Orangun Born former IG died on Thursday at a private hospital in Lekki area of Lago state. A member of the family who craved anonymity disclosed that the body of the late Balogun will depart for his home town early Saturday morning and will be buried by 4pm in his country home in Ila Orangun,Osun state.  The former IGP died after a brief illness few days to his 75th birthday.   Tafa Balogun was appointed inspector general of police on 6th March 2002 and retired 17th January 2005..

  …okada passengers risk three months jail term   The Lagos State Taskforce has carried out numerous raids which has spanned up to a week in various parts of the State in order to enforce and maintain the ban on the activities of commercial motorcycles plying Major Highways across the State and also in six Local Governments Areas and nine Local Council Development Areas as stipulated by Mr Governor.   The enforcement exercises which were spear headed by the Chairman of the Agency, CSP Shola Jejeloye took place in Agege/Fagba, Apapa and Ajah where pockets of activities relating to the operations of okada had been seen and brought to the notice of the Agency which prompted the raids. OVER 5000 TINUBU SUPPORT GROUPS SET TO MERGE

As part of activities aimed at boosting the campaign efforts of the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, Kashim Shettima  over 5000 Support Groups have resolved to merge into an organization named Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Group (TSICG). The groups resolved to set up coordinating committees in the various geo-political zones to facilitate the merger. The committees are to review membership of all Support Groups for strategic purposes. BAOBAB partners Ondo Agency in Fight Against Gender Based Violence

  A leading Nigerian Civil Society group, BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights, is implementing a project with the support of the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) to help in the elimination of sexual violence (SGBV) in Nigeria, using all available legal frameworks, especially the VAPP Act, to hold perpetrators accountable.  One of the focal states for this intervention is Ondo State, with a list of strategic interventions to achieve this which include; capacity strengthening, strategic advocacy, collaboration, sensitization and advocacy.   The initiative kicked off with advocacy on the 28th and 29th of July 2022.
