Ado Ekiti Receives Oluyede, Promises Support

The palace trumpeter heralded the usherance of the paramount ruler, , Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, as he received the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr Wole Oluyede, who came calling to announce his ambition to the State's government house.

The ace traditional ruler, clad in flowing white "agbada' attire was in his full element as he warmly received Oluyede, who was accosted by his wife, Mrs Kemi Oluyede, the running mate, Mrs Hidiat Simbo Popoola, ADC State Chairman, Mr Bamgboye Adegoroye and a host of other top party chieftains and loyalists.

Oba Adejugbe, who received Oluyede and his entourage alongside his Council of Chiefs, were warm in their reception as the governorship hopeful took the audience the memory lane on the sanctity of the Yoruba traditional institution and the gains therefrom.

Oluyede commended the template laid down by the hardworking and visionary heroes past, who were able to see beyond their time to sow the seed of education which has today blossomed into fertile development of minds, souls and the attendant positive results on human capital development.

He bemoaned the present day realities where tradition, culture and values are fast depleting as a result of governmental ineptitudes and cluelessness.

Oluyede said the gradual depletion of Ekiti State to one that rooted its wealth on Federal allocation, is lamentable and as such encouraged that the state woke up to gradual galvanisation to the culture of wealth creation that will bring back the olden days' glory.

The medical expert turned politician, said he was appalled by the present situation and was coming majorly to correct the lingering lopsidedness and rejig governance to bequeath Ekiti economic redemption.

He condemned the ongoing high level of joblessness in the state, noting that it is time to create an enabling environment where businesses can thrive .

He said his government is ready to work assiduously on security, health, education and also provide basic amenities that are key to drawing investors into the state.

The Ado Ekiti traditional ruler, Oba Adejugbe, thanked Oluyede for his concern as he  offered royal blessings.
