Lagos West council chairmen endorse Dr. Adebule for Senate

 


Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party's primary elections, the council chairmen from Lagos West Senatorial District have endorsed  the senatorial aspiration of former Deputy Governor of the State, Dr. Idiat Adebule.


Dr. Adebule is one of the Lagos West Senatorial aspirants contesting to be the flag-bearer of the APC in the senatorial district.


Her endorsement is coming on the heels of a wide consultations and deliberation among the council helmsmen. 


The twenty eight chairmen picked Dr. Idiat Adebule, on the basis of her experience as the Deputy Governor of Lagos State between 2015 and 2019; and capacity to impact positively on the District if elected.



The endorsement meeting held at Radisson Blue Hotel Ikeja, on Monday, 23 May, 2022 was convened by the council chairman of Agege Local Government, Alhaji (High Chief) Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi (JP).


Recall that Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi is the Vice Chairman, Lagos West for the Conference 57 council chairmen of Lagos State.


All the twenty eight Lagos West council chairmen were in attendance in the presence of Her Excellency, Adejoke Orelope (SSA to the President on SDG); Hon. Razaq Ajala, council chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA and also the Secretary of Conference 57 council chairmen of Lagos State.

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager.
