Sanwoolu Wins Lagos APC Primary

 



The Governor of Lagos state,Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu on Thursday emerged  as the winner of the state's primary election to pick the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 


election next year. 



The announcement threw the entire stadium into frenzy as friends,political leaders and aides of the governor joined him to celebrate his victory.



The governor scored one thousand,one hundred and seventy votes(1170) ,while the two challengers,Mr Wale Oluwo and Mr Olorunfemi Mustapha failed to show up for the contest. 



The Governor by this victory will fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Governorship election next year.

The Chairman of the Lagos State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle Adio, popularly known as Tafa Sego, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on Saturday  after six armed men reportedly stormed his residence in Surulere, Lagos, with the intent to kill him.  Fortunately, he was not at home at the time of the attack.
