GROUP URGES ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU TO SUPPORT OSINBAJO


 


A national movement for the actualisation of the presidential ambition of vice President Yemi Osinbanjo, Osinbajo Presidential Support Group (OPSG) has called on the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwjau Bola Ahmed TInubu to jettison his aspiration and support the vice president for the exalted office.  



OPSG in a press release signed by its National Coordinator, Engr Akinyele  Akinbobola disclosed that the research conducted by the group revealed that seventy percent of Nigerians want vice president Osinbajo to succeed his boss, President Buhari. 



According to the OPSG "It will be an understatement, to say Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a force to reckon with, in Nigeria's political space.  Asiwaju Tinubu is certainly larger than life, in the politics of Nigeria.

From the days of NADECO till date, Asiwaju Tinubu has played very significant roles in the enthronement of democratic governance in Nigeria. This fact can not be taken away from him"




It was revealed that the Osinbajo Presidential Support Group (OPSG), was founded in December 2021, after an extensive opinion poll around the Country, and it was discovered, that more than 70% of Nigerians wish VP Prof. Yemi Osinbajo becomes the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


Continuing"the people's opinions are solely based on his antecedent as acting President, his political conviction and forthrightness.

It should be noted, that Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Alhaji Ahmadu Bello  never became Prime Minister or President of Nigeria, yet, no single day passes, without their names being mentioned in many parts of the Country.

Attainment of the position of President, does not necessarily confer on any individual, a life long esteem."


Conclusively OPSG opined that For Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to attain that enviable position of esteem, NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME to support VP Prof. Yemi Oluleke Osinbajo, to become the APC candidate for 2023 Presidential election.



 The group equally appealed to delegates to ensure that they cast their vote for the energetic and highly cerebral vice president Yemi Osinbanjo at the convention,stressing that he is well prepared and equipped for the onerous task of governance.

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager.
