BATCAN APPLAUDS THE RETURN OF PA REUBEN FASORANTI AS AFENIFERE LEADER


 

Prominent Support group for the actualization of the presidency of the APC candidate,The BAT CAMPAIGN NETWORK (BATCAN), has applauded  return of Pa Reuben FASORANTI, as the leader of Afenifere.


The group's position was made known in a press release issued on Sunday in Akure,the Ondo state capital and signed by its Director General ,Engr Akinyele Akinbobola where he described the return as another Progressive phase in the history of the Yoruba socio cultural group, Afenifere


According to him"many Yoruba people were very sceptical, when Pa Fasoranti appointed Pa Ayo Adebanjo as the acting leader of Afenifere, because of his slight health challenge, associated with old age.

Today's event in Akure, where notable Afenifere leaders and members converged in the home of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, and adopted Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Presidential candidate of Afenifere, has cleared all doubts; about the return of Pa Fasoranti as Afenifere leader"



BATCAN also disclosed that  with the return of Pa Fasoranti,Chief Ayo Adebanjo has seized to be the leader of Afenifere or it's spokesperson, stressing that normalcy will ultimately return to the group and prominent Yoruba sons and daughters with progressive inclination will team up with the group for the development of the race. 


Continuing "For this reason and henceforth, Pa Ayo Adebanjo can no longer continue to function in acting capacity, as Afenifere leader.

Hotelier Drags NDLEA before National Human Rights Commission over Invasion, Destruction of his property

A Lagos-based hotelier, Mr. Ayobami Moses Idowu, has lodged a petition with the National Human Rights Commission, alleging unlawful invasion, property destruction, and the theft of his gold necklace worth fifty million naira by officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Idowu's legal representatives, Complete Solicitors and Advocates, based in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, submitted the petition titled "Unlawful Invasion of Mr. Ayobami Moses Idowu's Residence and Business Premises by NDLEA Officers," urging the commission to ensure justice for their client. Ekiti Insecurity: Group gives marching order to herders to leave community

Following unbridled grazing activities leading to wanton destruction of farmland, kidnap and sundry nefarious perpetrations, the Itapaji Progressives Union (IPU) has issued notice to Fulani herders operating in and around the town to vacate. Rising from an emergency meeting with the traditional council of the town, led by the Olu of Itapaji, Oba AbdulKareem Adebanjo, and the deputy, High Chief Yisa Olaoye (Oluketu of Itapaji Ekiti), it was resolved that all cattle dealers in the town should close the business,  to augment the ongoing moves by the Ekiti State government to enthrone security in the zone as well as boost agricultural yields.
