COSEG DENIES SELF ACCLAIMED COORDINATOR IN UK OR ANYWHERE IN EUROPE,SAYS SUCH CHARACTER IS AN IMPOSTOR

 

The leadership of foremost  Yoruba self determination group,the coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups (COSEG) has denied the self acclaimed Coordinator of the group in united kingdom and Europe,describing anyone with such appellation as an impostor and scammer who is out for pecuniary gains 

Reacting to a news story in Saturday ,the group in a statement signed by its National Coordinating Council chairman ,Comrade Dayo Ogunlana distanced himself and the group from appointing or electing anybody for such "imaginary office "

COSEG while reacting to a story online  titled " 2023 , Afenifere's endorsement of TInubu, welcome development,says Coalition of Oodua Self determination groups in UK, Europe", stated that since the creation of the group over two decades ago,such an office has not been created,talk less of being occupied by an unknown person to any of the structures of the group

According to the statement of COSEG"we were surprised to have been woken up by a news story in an online platform,where one Oredolapo Ibrahim claimed to be Coordinator of UK and Europe of Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups,this is nothing but blatant lie and irresponsible act,as such character is not known to the group"

"While we have no grudge with anyone wanting to associate with the group, but an attempt to create imaginary office that's unknown to the group is tantamount to impersonation and we won't allow an unknown character lay claim to the leadership of our group,we won't allow such to drag the group into disrepute. We want to warn the purported self appointed UK/ Europe Coordinator to desist from such using the good  name of the Coalition for any dubious activities. "

"While the Coalition has  no problem with the caption, but the person who signed the message or who is being quoted is alien to us in COSEG and we will inform the necessary organs of government to intimate them of the nefarious activities of the impostor and his collaborators"

"Asiwaju is our man Friday. A great man that needs the support of everyone and all groups, that is why we have been in the forefront to support a man who has paid his dues in the development of yorubaland and Nigeria generally. However,we will not allow someone we don't even know at all, to start calling himself Europe and UK coordinator to swindle unsuspecting Nigerians. We therefore warn all concerned to be wary of the above name and unknown office created by him. We must be very careful because of the predominance of yahoo yahoo people who can be anywhere to swindle people. Our group of long history with it's good name must not be tarnished"

Finally,COSEG called on the public to discountenance the alleged UK /Europe Coordinator of Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups as there is no office like that and that anybody occupying an imaginary office is nothing but an shameless impostor who is out to use the name to dupe politicians as  thus is political era. 

" We want to advise our politicians not to have any dealing with any impostor on behalf of the Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups,as there is no office of such either in UK or EUROPE or anywhere in the world ,as all our officers are in the country,and anything outside the recognized offices,is null and void,the group concluded
