Ekiti state Assembly Speaker, Aribisogan impeached Amidst Tight Security

 



The newly elected speaker of the Ekiti state house of Assembly,Hon Gboyega Aribisogan has been impeached by members 



He was impeached on Monday by ten out of the twenty five members of the Assembly , when the seats of seven  members had been declared vacant



The Newly Elected Speaker is Hon Olubunmi Adelugba from Emure Constituency


The impeachment was conducted amidst tight security, while the development has turned the political atmosphere into a state of controversy. 



The people are accusing the immediate past Governor of the state,Kayode Fayemi of being behind the unfortunate saga

Despite Valid Court Order, Lagos Police Fails To Commit Lagos Businessman,Dada Aigbe To Prison

The Lagos State Police Command appear to have compromised the order of the court which sentence a businessman Mr Dada Aigbe, to Kirikiri Correctional Facility for disobeying a lawful court order over interfering in a land matter over which he is not a party. A Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja committed the Chairman of Confidence Cargo, Freight Forwarder, Mr Aigbe, to Kirikiri for one month or until he purges himself of the contempt of the court and files an affidavit to henceforth not disobeys any court order.   The land dispute is between HRM, Oba Shakirudeen Adeshina Kuti, the complainants and Osolo of Isolo, HRM, Oba Agbabiaka Kabiru Orisedeko Kuti and the Baale of Mafoluku, Ajao Estate; Chief Hussam Raheem Shekoni Elemo, as defendants before Justice M.A Savage.
