Adetunji Urges Nigerians To Get Their PVCs In Readiness To Vote in 2023




    


Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the President General of the Yoruba Community Abuja FCT , Alh Dr Chief Hakeem Adetunji Mosebolatan has urged Nigerians who are yet to get their permanent voter’s card, PVC to immediately do so and be ready to vote for thier candidates of choice .


The President, while addressing newsmen at the sideline of the Omoluabi Icon Award held in Yoruba Community office, 4th floor Lagos House Abuja, where he was graciously conferred the "National Patron" of the Yoruba students council of Nigeria. 

The Award was presented to him In recognition of his promotion of yoruba Aesthetics cultural heritage and value, community developments, students and youths emancipation among other qualities.



He urge Nigerians mostly especially all students across the country to excersise thier franchise and show of solidarity, assuring that thier efforts will not be in vain as thier votes will be counted.


He therefore appealed to those who are yet to collect their permanent voters card to put in more efforts and do so, in order to have their voices heard in the new Nigeria which is about to emerge.




He said, “The BVAS will only read the PVC inserted into it for authentication/accreditation. If you have nothing to insert, then there will be no vote to count giving that election is a game of numbers.


“It is a duty we owe ourselves, it is a duty we owe our dear country and we must not sit and watch from distance rather, be intentional  about electing the next leaders of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he said.


Furthermore, he admonished the students to shun violence in the coming election year, and never allowed to be used by politicians as tools to disrupt election processes. 


" *_As youths, you are the trustees of posterity, Good education prepares you to impact positively on self and society. Government must provide this and youth must seek and desire to be educated at all levels. Nelson Mandela said “no country can really develop unless its citizens are educated” so get education and get educated*_ " he said.
