Lagos Medical Doctor Remains in Custody for inability to perfect bail conditions,Wife Testifies how he defiled her niece


  



A Lagos based medical doctor and the owner of Optical medical foundation in Surulere area of the state,Dr Femi Olaleye  is still in ikoyi  custodial center three weeks after being granted bail by Justice Rahman Oshodi of the special court on sexual offences



At the commencement of the trial on Monday at the court ,before Justice Oshodi,the defendant was led into the court by a Warder ,which is an indication of his inability to perfect the bail granted him on the 29th of November 2022



Testifying before the court,the wife of the medical doctor,Mrs Aderemi Olaleye disclosed that her husband of eleven years actually defiled her niece of fifteen years then serially



Being the first witness to be led in evidence by the state's Director of public Prosecution,Dr Babajide Martins,Mrs Olaleye asserted that her niece disclosed  to her aunt as well as other family members of the heinous crime of the medical doctor



She further posited that immediately after  the disclosure ,she reported the matter before the police division in Anthony Village and that Dr Olaleye was arrested and he confessed that he actually molested the girl before the police 




The Harvard trained  Economist  and mother of two further maintained that her husband has sent his friend and family members to apologize to her family over his conduct so as to suppress the matter ,but that she owes humanity and the survivor the duty of getting justice


Mrs Olaleye also mentioned that inorder for him to molest the girl,Dr Olaleye usually administer sedative on her




The case comes up in Wednesday 21st December where other witnesses will be called upon to testify

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads.
