Team Nigeria Organizes Voters Sensitization,Education in Lagos

 




Pan Nigerian Group ,the Team Nigeria for Change has concluded arrangements to hold a Voters' Sensitization and Education forum in Lagos,towards the 2923 election



The Forum will hold at the prestigious Excellence hotel,Ogba Ikeja Lagos in Friday 13th January 2023 by 10 am 



Resource persons expected at the one day forum include Mr Richard Akinnola,Mr Yemi Adaramodu, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Lagos state Electoral Commission (LASIEC),trade Unions,civil society organizations as well as youth groups 




The national coordinator of the group,Otunba Bestman Jumbo Nze disclosed that Team Nigeria for Change is not just talking about peaceful electoral process, but also educating the people on what their rights are ,as well as there responsibilities.


He promised the occasion will be an educative one where so many issues will be extensively discussed as the 2023 election approaches

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager. He holds a Masters Degree in Transportation Planning and Management from University of Lagos and has attended several capacity-building programmes on inter-modal traffic management systems locally and internationally.
