HON. OLUWASEYI AFENI SHARES 58 SALLAH RAMS TO CELEBRATE GOV. SANWO-OLU AT 58

 



Today, Hon. Oluwaseyi Afeni - the Supervisor for Information and ICT in Yaba distributed 58 sallah rams to 58 different Muslims across Yaba LCDA and other communities in further celebration of the 58th birthday of the ever-compassionate and hardworking Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu 



The beneficiaries, majorly; Muslim Clerics, Aged People, Widows and People Living With Disabilities, who were categorised and provided with vouchers, expressed their appreciation to *Hon. Oluwaseyi Afeni* , acknowledging the smiles that were brought to their faces during the Ileya season.

 

Oluwaseyi Afeni who has and still runs series periodical Food Support, Educational Support and Traders Empowerment programmes, in words said; "there is wrong in celebrating Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu. A man that has been making great and positive impacts in the lives of Lagosians, even before he became the Governor.

However, the gesture is to enable the beneficiaries to abundantly enjoy the festival with members of their families".

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager. He holds a Masters Degree in Transportation Planning and Management from University of Lagos and has attended several capacity-building programmes on inter-modal traffic management systems locally and internationally.
