CSOs Congratulate President Bola Ahmed On His Victory at the Supreme Court

 





Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TInubu has been congratulated on his victory at the supreme court, after the justices of the highest court in the land affirmed him as the duly elected winner of the last presidential election in the country

The congratulatory message was contained in a press release by some civil society organizations , signed on their behalf by Ahmed Balogun of the Frontline Socio- Economy Research Centre, commending the president for being a democrat who allowed the opposition freedom to pursue their constitutional rights ,by  challenging the outcome of his election without interference whatsoever 




According to the CSOs "We, the Coalition of Civil Society, felicitate with the Nigerian President and his Vice, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shetima, on their joint victory through the eventual vindication by the Supreme Court, today in Abuja. It was long battle of hatred and calumny against the noble person of Asiwaju, whom by majority vote, won the February 23 presidential election held this year"


Continuing"Asiwaju  is a dodged and committed democrat who had never relented in fighting for democracy. He has consistently stand in defense of civil rule, even when he had to confront brute forces of the military regime. The final pronouncement of the Supreme Court today is a clear testimony for his Asiwaju’s determination to continue to stand in defense of the Nigerian democracy. In this long journey freedom, we must also acknowledge the support of political giants like the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Ganduje and all other members of the National Executive Committee of our great party for their fervent support. We thank you all too"

LASTMA ARRAIGNS 12 OFFICERS BEFORE DISCIPLINARY PANEL FOR VARIOUS OFFENSES BOTHERING ON CORRUPT PRACTICES, ABSENTEEISM

  .........11 Officers indicted as panel final reports recommended dismissal, reduction in rank, compulsory retirement for Officers Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Thursday,  arraigned 12 Officers before Disciplinary Panel for various Offenses bothering on corrupt practices and absenteeism in line with the extant rules as guided by the Lagos State Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Acting General Manager of LASTMA Mr. Bakare Oki Olalekan disclosed that the disciplinary panel which was statutorily constituted with three (3) Permanent Secretaries in attendance adjudicated cases of corrupt practices levied against these 12 Officers and forwarded their recommendations to the State Civil Service Commission for ratification in line with the Public Service Rules. LASTMA GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.

    Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved with immediate effect the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan as the Acting General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). A statement by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Mr. Olawale Musa noted that the appointment of Mr. Bakare-Oki Olalekan is for better performance, eradicating incidences of misdemeanors among staffs and continued efficient/effective traffic management on Lagos roads. Bakare-Oki Olalekan joined the Lagos State Public Service on the April 25, 2000 and rose through the ranks over the years to the post of Deputy Director, Logistics and Engineering Department of LASTMA, before his new appointment as General Manager.
