AMUWO ODOFIN COUNCIL BOSS,ENGR BURAIMOH PRESENTS BUDGET OF RENEWED HOPE 2024 TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL




  As Councillors pass vote of confidence on the Executive Chairman_ 


The Executive Chairman Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh has presented the year 2024 budget to the legislative council ,titled " BUDGET OF RENEWED HOPE 

In his speech at the well attended budget presentation, Engr Buraimoh announced that the year 2024 budget of renewed hope will be  #4,968,987,937.17 , 



Recurrent expenditure according to the Chairman  will be  #1,575,238,785.16,while Capital  is #1,767,567,546.24 and Overhead for the new year will gulp #1,626,181,605.77


The amiable council Helmsman promised that all on going projects will be completed ,while new ones will be implemented in the new year



He solicited the support of the legislative council for the quick passage of the bill to enable early implementation of the budget

Permit me to say that in 2023 the prophetic statement as captured in the first stanza of our national anthem became a reality. 


The emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of Nigeria rekindled the hope that the labour of our heroes, labour of our founding fathers who fought for the independence of the greatest black nation on earth will not be in vain!


His victory has become a tonic for us as an administration to approach 2024 with the audacity of a renewed hope committed to the pursuit of legacy achievements in the interest of our people. 


To serve with all our might is non-negotiable. Therefore, on behalf of my team, I bring to this hallowed chamber a work plan that priortizes infrastructural legacies.    


Today’s presentation is symbolic; it is the presentation of a budget proposal that will align with the first full year in governance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.  

Distinguished leaders and members of this Honourable House, It is my pleasure to present the 2024 Budget proposal christened;

Our desire for the 2024 budget is to increase the confidence of the people for this administration stration by consolidating on infrastructural development projects through


Construction/rehabilitation of roads and drainages


Completion of the administrative complex 


Bringing Justice closer to the people by completing the construction of a magistrate court


Completing the construction of a conducive administrative office for LASIEC


Fortifying the security structure of the local government by completing LNSC office


Construction of council flats and service apartments for housing needs of residents. 

Construction of shopping malls. 


Improving quality primary health delivery 


Efficient environment and waste management system.
