New year :Let’s Keep hope Alive, Amuwo Odofin council Boss, Engr Buraimoh Admonishes

 




As the world ushers in the year 2024, a call has gone to  Nigerians, Lagosians and especially residents of Amuwo Odofin local government to continue to keep hope alive and have confidence in the ruling party , All progressives  Congress (APC), under the Asiwaju presidency to restore hope back to the nation



The admonition was given by the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin local government, Engr Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh in a press release issued by his media office in the early hour of today, congratulating the people for  seeing the new year 



Engr Buraimoh saluted the resilience and never- die spirit of Nigerians , especially with the removal of the subsidy in the country assuring that the present administration will return the country to the path of progress and development



And to the residents of Amuwo Odofin local government, he promised to continue with his pro-people policies and programmes ,which he has been implementing since he was elected. 



He also promised that in order to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal, his administration will continue to provide necessary palliatives and ensure the vulnerable in the society gets them



He commended president TInubu for providing purposeful leadership at  a critical moment like now, praying for strength and wisdom from God almighty for him to steer the ship of the country to a successful place 




In his words” let me welcome  our people into the new year, it's a new year that promises good tidings , from the federal, state and local governments. We thank God for seeing us through a turbulent 2023,  I must salute Nigerians for their resilience and rugged nature. Let’s keep hope alive with Mr President as he provides purposeful leadership at this critical period in the annals of our history, President Tinubu is a promise keeper and development expert,who will restore the lost glory of the country , with his policies in the new year “ 



“And to our people in Amuwo Odofin, as a government, we shall continue to prioritize your wellbeing, this year will witness more developmental projects and programs that will benefit you. We shall continue the execution of infrastructural projects across the lengthy and breadth of the local government. The ongoing construction will be completed in record time, while new ones already captured in the budget for the year will commence without delay. It’s a new year with hope , happy new year once again, it’s going to be a prosperous year for us all”, he concluded

Hotelier Drags NDLEA before National Human Rights Commission over Invasion, Destruction of his property

A Lagos-based hotelier, Mr. Ayobami Moses Idowu, has lodged a petition with the National Human Rights Commission, alleging unlawful invasion, property destruction, and the theft of his gold necklace worth fifty million naira by officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Idowu's legal representatives, Complete Solicitors and Advocates, based in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, submitted the petition titled "Unlawful Invasion of Mr. Ayobami Moses Idowu's Residence and Business Premises by NDLEA Officers," urging the commission to ensure justice for their client. Ekiti Insecurity: Group gives marching order to herders to leave community

Following unbridled grazing activities leading to wanton destruction of farmland, kidnap and sundry nefarious perpetrations, the Itapaji Progressives Union (IPU) has issued notice to Fulani herders operating in and around the town to vacate. Rising from an emergency meeting with the traditional council of the town, led by the Olu of Itapaji, Oba AbdulKareem Adebanjo, and the deputy, High Chief Yisa Olaoye (Oluketu of Itapaji Ekiti), it was resolved that all cattle dealers in the town should close the business,  to augment the ongoing moves by the Ekiti State government to enthrone security in the zone as well as boost agricultural yields.
