19th Best City To Live:Lagos Group Commends Sanwoolu, Past Governors




The ranking of Lagos as the best 19th country to live in , by Timeout and Forbes magazines has continued to generate discussion and the recent one being the commendation by a pan Lagos group, the Lagos People's Assembly (LPA),commending Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and other past Governors for building befitting legacies in the state of excellence and ensuring continuation of impactful projects 




LPA in it's reaction via a press release  signed by Comrade Gbenga Soloki commended the organizers of the ranking for their commitment and sincerity in dispassionately assessing the cities to arrive at appropriate result. 




In a press release , the LPA praised Governor Sanwoolu for his brilliance and tenacity of purpose since assumption of office, which has made him to continue the footprint of his predecessors , which has incredibly added solid program to the state 



LPA further appreciated the commitment of past Governors of the state like late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TInubu, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola and Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for contributing positively to the development of Lagos state , stressing that posterity will not forget them 



The group however enjoined governor Sanwoolu  to continue to pursue a special status for Lagos using the federal lawmakers in the state to push the agenda, promising that LPA will be willing to join forces to ensure that the state gets the desired recognition. 



The group further called on the national assembly to complete, as a matter of urgency the recognition of the thirty seven local council development areas created in the state since 2003,as all other requirements had been completed only for the national assembly to enlist them as substantive local governments areas



The LPA promised to continue to work for the progress and development of Lagos state , using all known legal means
