Tinubu's Special Assistant On Agriculture, Hon Abiodun Muftau Yinusa Kicks off Second phase of Fertilizers Distribution for Farmers in South west





 The Second phase of the Flag-Off for the distribution of Fertilizers to the South west Farmers facilitated by the Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Abiodun Muftau Yinusa took  place at Iru-Victoria Island Local govt. Secretariat Hall on the 18th of September 2024


Present is also the Representatives of the Chairman of Iru-Victoria island LGA, the Various officers and the LGA officers and the Indeginous Farmers in the southwestern part of the country. 


The representatives of the SA(Special Assistant) to President on Agriculture and Food Security; Mr. Rafiu Lawal and Hon. Taiwo Ayedun (Shanana) in their goodwill messages assured the farmers of much more support from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture.


The working team also comprised the Representatives of All Farmers  Association of Nigeria (AFAN Lagos state chapter Prince Segun Adeyeye) and the President of  “She Farmers Association of Nigeria”, Mrs Temitope Ande and Mechanized Agro-farmer expert, Engr Oyegunle Taofeeq admonished all stakeholders to embrace this initiative that is being flagged off in Lagos with intention to spread it across the entire South-West in the coming days..


“The government is ready and willing to closely work with farmers and as well as other stakeholders in the Agro processing value chain by providing necessary support aimed at facilitating improved mechanised farming, capacity building, agro processing equipments and ensuring consistent supply agricultural inputs as well as other support services that will guarantee increase in food production,” Mr Lawal said.. 


The Chairman of the farmers Association, Takwa-bay also thank the Government and their representatives for the loud able programme to enhance Agriculture and food security in the country especially his zone and South western part of the country in general.


An interactive session was conducted by Mrs Temitope  Ande educating the farmers on the Government intention and intervention to enhance agriculture and food security in the country. 


The fertilizers were presented to beneficiaries across board with assurance that other states within the region will begin to get their own bulk immediately…
